A journey that includes 2 concerts per stage with 34 guest groups and 3 special concerts by the Popular Orchestra Notte della Taranta. Space also for dance with the show Pizzica in Scena and 9 pizzica workshops that will involve the public.

A 27' edition that promises to be extraordinary and confirms La Notte della Taranta as the largest Italian traveling festival that promotes popular music as a score of emotions born from the dialogue between the arts, interweaving and creating reflections and insights with dance, stage after stage toward the August 24 Concertone in Melpignano (Le), toward the long night with the creative multiverse of Maestro Concertatore Shablo for an ambitious edition that moves from genre fusion to a mix of musical trends projecting the event, with its thousands of spectators, among the most anticipated events of the Italian summer.

Opening the Festival in Corigliano d'Otranto at 7 p.m. is the Taranta in parade - the streets of the Land of Remorse. Musicians and dancers will perform along the streets of the historic center starting from the mezzanine floor of the Flying Castle.

At 8 p.m., a not-to-be-missed and long-awaited event for pizzica enthusiasts returns, the Pizzica Workshops curated by the Notte della Taranta Dance Corps. Corigliano will feature: Michaela Coluccia, Marco Martano, Serena Pellegrino and Andrea Caracuta. Sharing and participation are the key words of the meeting. Taranta dancers and dancers welcome guests in large inclusive and open circles accompanying the audience to discover the rhythm of the tambourine and the different expressions of the pizzica.

From 9:15 p.m. Victory Square lights up with the music of RADIZI - an Italian-Iberian duo based in Barcelona - puts on the show Cal Y Cemento, a mix of urban and rural. Past and present, rhythms, sounds and field recordings, meet and merge into a new hybrid sound between trance and tribal. Through electronics and new media, the instruments and traditional music of the Iberian Peninsula-from Castilla y Leon to Andalusia, via Asturias and Galicia-seek and experiment with new forms and new perspectives. Ramón Rodríguez Gómez: Iberian percussion, harp de boca, kanjira, electronics Francesco di Cristofaro: Sanabresa, Alistana and Galician bagpipes, flutes, electronics.
